  • Bank Holiday weekend plans?

Just wondering what people are intending to do this Bank Holiday weekend?

looks like the weather is going to be very mixed.

    I shall be mostly gardening/ start Autumn clear up when I can....and jamming/ freezing/ bottling/chutney-ing when it's wet.

Sadly it's not a BH here

Was thinking of going to our 'local' they are having a 'hog roast& music' on Sunday, and 'might', invite neighbours in for drinks n nibbles on. Monday. Or might just escape to allotment, but everyone might be there, and I don't get anything done, apart from chatting, will need to water and pick beans tho,no rain forecast till monday.

I know its short notice,BUT,does anyone fancy a meet up,i have just spoken to the organizers direct to confirm, and have permission to advertise this event,to camp for the week end friday to monda, is £25 including admisssion, there is a water supply ,portaloo's and an elson point for your persononal ones, anyone one is welcome, spaces still available, any thing from a bin bag to a mobile home ,or just come for the day and chance who is there,I will be,£3 per person under 12 free, you just turn up on friday enter exhibits entrance and pay your £25,they will tell you where to go ext,we are exhibiting DH old wagon and a little fold up caravan, so will not be on the regular camp field, but that is no problem,as you can come and go and sit in our little portafold, for chat and ext,if you want wine,it's bring your own ,index have tried to post a link, did it the other day on the chat thread,so if it not worked either refer to post6470,or google stapleford park miniture railway august bank holiday, there is lots of things going on,the only extra charge is,if you want a ride on the train around the park and lake,it's a lovely venue for a meet up,,sorry about the long post, but i figured it maybe worth it,and thank you Nicos for your help.

It's the Havering Show this weekend so assuming the weather is half decent we'll have a wander round that.

May not be a holiday up here but it is a Star Trek weekend on the Syfy channel (c'mon it will be raining after all). Lottie I hope it is dry over Leicester as Mr Frosty and I used to love seeing steam engines (big and small)

I am finally off on a bank holiday. So when I finish work Saturday morning, me and my dad are going to be going into town. There is a food and beet festival going on over the weekend. So we going to be having a look around and seeing what there is. Then when I come home I will go to sleep for a few hours and then have a movie night with my fella. Sunday I am going to see what I can sow and grow in the spaces that is free in my greenhouse.

My OH is working so wont be going anywhere. If it is dry might try and dig over raised beds down the bottom of the garden with my two assistants helping/hindering me. Might try and see if anywhere has any spring bulbs in yet.
Tv wise if it is raining think it could be watching Boomerang and having a Tom and Jerry and Scooby Do weekend.

Plans are to spray new plot with kurtail, if there's no breeze. If not, then I'll spend as much time as I can at the allotment. It's where I feel my heart rate drop

Sunday - pottering round house and garden - need to check the loft, may have a leak in the roof
                        Monday - work
                        Location - Leicestershire - Chisit-land
                        Endless wonder.

Not a bank holiday here either.
Having said that, being retired the holiday doesn't have the same impact.
                            For everyone else, enjoy.
