  • Back to work

Well I went back to work this afternoon (I had an appointment this morning). It turns out they've been desperate for me to come back, not least because they miss my charming personality , but also because they're desperate for staff:
    - One trainer is off with a blood clot in her neck (serious stuff!) back in 2 weeks for just 3 hours a week
    - One is off in 2 weeks because she's having twins
    - One is off for at least 2 more weeks with serious depression
and the last one is off in 2 weeks for jury duty

So I'll be the only one in for a good couple of weeks, so I'm picking up loads of training I've never done before. Nothing like jumping in at the deep end

But as a 'Welcome Back' gift they got me a box of rather fancy Fox's biscuits (I'm a bit of a biscuit hound), A book called 'The Allotment Gardener' Handbook' which is rather good, and a selection of seeds (Purple Haze F1 Carrot, New England Pie Pumpkin, Butternut Squash and Mooli Radish), all of which I'm rather chuffed with

Going back has turned out better than I thought.

Yay Ollie! Glad to hear that you are up and at 'em again - but I agree with the rest of our wise grapes - you should be on a phased return, not a plunge into the deep end!!
Whooops - now what are the dogs getting up to?

Thats really nice of your work fellows to put so much thought into your presents, Ollie, (Though sounds like it might also be a bribe!! )

Bet it feels nice to get back to normal?

                    ...and big brothers!

Weirdly I was thinking of you today and was going to ask how you and your bro are getting on recovery wise.

Would appear I'm a little psychopathic.

To say I'm jealous about you returning to work is a understatement but I'm am happy that you are able to go back, Just take it easy as you don't want to end up a return patient unless you like nurses of course
