Today, my colleague and I got up at 4.30am, travelled to Huyton in Liverpool to undertake some panel modifications to a fire alarm system.

Once there we were told that as production had over run (its a waste recycling plant) they were running today until 2.30pm and we couldnt start work until then, oh, and we had to be finished by 4pm.

So now we have to go back tomorrow, ARSE.

I suppose one upshot is that I get to watch the rugby live and spend the afternoon in my greenhouse. Oh plus I get more OT pay.

What a waste of precious sleeping time! Pity they couldn't let you know they were over-running before you made the journey Hope tomorrow's trip sees the job accomplished.

My big sis worked in Huyton for a bit, when she worked for Lucas.

A phone call would have done Sarz, never mind, just need to set the alarm for the morning. At least I get to spend some time in the greenhouse today.

Some people just couldn't run a bath.
          But suppose it's all money.

Plus, when you're up early in the morning you can deliver breakfast in bed to your dear wife, it being mothers day and all that.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I think I would be put to the sword if I woke her at 5am on a Sunday morning Bramble.
