  • Anyone live between Pembs and Welshpool?

Madmax and I bought a car which is in Welshpool. We have to go and collect it today or tomorrow and I wondered if any of you wonderful peeps live on the road from us to there and could advise re the weather in your area.

It is snowing quite steadily here at the moment but isn't sticking as the ground is too wet, but we are quite close to the coast and it is hard to work out what the conditions will be like further inland.

    Can anyone help?

Have a look on the map, and put any villages or small towns along the route into Metcheck?
Will you go the coastal way (Cardigan, Aberystwyth, Newtown)? Or inland (Carmarthen, LLandindrod Wells, Newtown)?

Probably coastal - 3 and a half hours drive to go 130 miles - ridiculous!!

That's the way we went home, beautiful drive, except we spent half of it stuck behind a succession of slow moving tractors, trucks carrying felled trees, diggers...

Looks like Aberystwyth will be the snowiest bit of the drive on the way there, rain at Cardigan. Although Metcheck won't load so I'm going off the BBC forecasts. Looks like there'll be more snow/sleet later (evening-ish).
