Default Anyone else having DT Brown issues?

I placed a large order in Decemer and have still not recieved my Potatoes & Shallots. After being fobbed off 4 times I've asked for my money back.

Hopefully this is a one off but I'd be interested to see if anyone else has had issues. The customer service was the worst I've ever dealt with. If people are having trouble with suppliers it's fair enough but at least they could do is take the time o ring you up, explain and apologies.

Matt

I ordered my potatoes & onion sets from Thompson & Morgan in November, and they just arrived a couple of days ago. They only send them out from a certain date, onwards (at the right time for chitting/planting out), and they'll be sent in order of date order received. So possibly you've been a bit impatient? It may be that your order is in transition from packing - despatch?

Funnily enough I have had a lot of problems with T&M's delivery service (not seeds tho) in that they've been much later than promised and when they've been received they've been damaged, poor quality and in some cases different varieties.

You may well find that the spuds et al are only sent out at certain times. I am waiting for some seed potatoes but am not worried as its still a month before they will be planted.

I understand that they only send them out at certain times that really didn't upset me. If they had said from the start that they would be with me on the xxx of Feb then that would have been great. It was more the fact that they kept telling me they would arrive on said date and then they wouldn't show up, so this left me wondering if they had gone walk-a-bouts in the postal system which made me ring them up to see if they had been sent.
I asked them why they didn't call me to tell me that they were having problems with the my order and that there would be a delay and they said it was because they didn't have a correct number to call me on........ They didn't seem to have any trouble calling when I'd tried to pay with the wrong type of card. It's amazing how companies always find the time to collect money.

Perhaps I'm lucky, but I've never had any problems with any seed company. I'm especially surprised about D.T. Brown though, not only have I used them for years, but my grandad used them for the whole of his gardening life, which must have started immediately after the war, and he thought they were the bees knees.
