OH MY GOD

KISS

I live 3.5 miles away from Donnington.

I was there in 87 and 88 when it was MOR; never been to the festival since [moved on to Reading and even stopped going to that about 8 years ago...]

I saw KISS in Finsbury Park [was a huge fan for years] and it was the saddest thing I ever saw to be honest; but I might just be tempted as it is so close.

Have to go away and have a think about it...

Don't think, just book!!! hahaha

Any chance we can come and camp in your garden so as to avoid the horror of festival toilet facilities?!?! lol

AC/DC were hotly tipped to headline this year.....fingers crossed for a late announcement!

Still, there's over 100 more bands to be confirmed yet so there's bound to be someone playing that floats your boat :-)

My ingenius masterplan to abduct the lead singers of Chimaira and Korn will come to fruition this year!! I WILL get backstage, oh yes I will! mwahahahahahaha

I used to go to MOR too, late 80's early 90's. Was only 1 day then though! I'm a bit too old & decrepit to do the whole wknd thing now, I'm usually crippled after an ordinary gig these days But I'll be thinking of everyone there, enjoy yourselves

Goodness, I last went in 89...did the double Glastonbury and MOR including backstage and No ticket for either! ( mind you I don't think it was even fully fenced then)ha ha ha. Bit too old for all that now but might be persuaded if there's a B&B nearby! How much are these tkts anyhow.

Oh yes, always fresh here...plus there are ducks and swans that come onto the patch as at the end of the garden [near the white furniture] is the canal.

I haven't been to donnington since AC/DC did it in the 80's (?) .... now that was a concert I think there's some clips of it on u-tube somewhere.

But the best ever had to be the Theakstons Real Ale music festival at Nostell Priory .... never did find the name of the young ladies tent that I shared ...

I saw KISS @ Donnington 96 in full make up etc. If they're doing full make up and costumes I may be tempted to go for that day but I'm not too keen on the other support acts.

Well, my ticket's booked yay!!!

tbh, I don't really care who's playing - there is always someone playing that I like but I go for the atmosphere/meeting new people/opportunity to kick back and get wasted for five days! hahaha

Now The Offspring, they'll be good I'd wager.

Not really a KISS/Motorhead/ACDC/Judas Priest fan if I'm honest. Be interested to see the rest of the line-up. I certainly wouldn't get LadyWayne along - she tolerates a few or my more commercial likes, but some of the "heavier" stuff she's not keen on (hates is probably accurate).
