Default Another Newbie!

Hi my name is Martin and I'm new to this forum. Although I am young, I am really interested in growing my own veg, sustainability, green living and all that stuff.
I live with my mum, dad and brother but I am the one who rules the garden. I have 2 chickens in a purple eglu, which is a good supply of eggs. I also have a rablu, with 3 rabbits, who provide poop for the composter, they eat all the excess greens!

I'm already on a few other forums Omlet, Practical Poultry, River Cottage, It's not easy being green and Pekin Bantams.

It's nice to see a few friendly faces I know already. Egluntine and lozza_9 to name a few.

I also have a blog www.martin-blyth.vox.com where I'll keep you up to date as I creep up the local allotments waiting list.

I hope I'll be welcomed with open arms,
Martin

Hi Martin. Welcome to the vine. It sounds like you probably already have a lot of experience to share with us and hopefully you'll find lots of other info etc here to continue growing.

Enjoy!

It is mate, very helpful, very friendly people. I speak from practical experience, as they are always nice to me when I escape. LJ will explain, I'm sure.

Welcome

Welcome Martin, hope you soon find a comfy seat on the vine with us other grapes. Look forward to hearing your exploits. It's not only informative here, but fun as well. Enjoy.

Welcome to the Vine Martin - how do you find your Eglu - we're going to get some chickens (hopefully!) in a couple of months and the Eglu is one of the two choices we have for a home for them.

Enjoy the forum

After having an eglu I would never want to even touch a wooden coop! It is so easy to use, and overall just brilliant. It's so easy to clean, and you really will reap the benefits. Don't forget that the egg cube is coming out in the next few weeks, this new design will allow people to keep upto 10 chickens!!!!

hi martin, any idea how much the new one will be? would love an eglu for when we go on holiday so we can take it to relitives, but we would need two and they are quite expensive, the cube sounds fab tho.
hope you enjoy the vine.
