It was starting to mist when we got up, ground already damp so we left the 2 loads of washing on the line - and on the drive to work heard that they are expecting ONE MONTH's normal rainfall to fall today!!

I think we may have to get the tumble dryer going to night (as there was a 3rd load already washing in the machine as the water is being turned off today for works - what's the betting that they will be postponed til tomorrow??!!)

can i say BLOODY MISERABLE!!!!!

last night youngest daughter gets up at 10pm and throws up!!! then at 2am and then at 2.30am i throw up until 4am - get up this morning and feel ok, but achy, then eldest daughter gets up and feels sick and son gets up coughing and wheezing!!!!! NOT GOOD!!!! - so all of us off school and i have so much work to do at school before the end of term i am thoroughly peed off!!!!

so not only is the miserable weather outside, it is also inside, in my house today!!!

Anyone like some sick kids and a sick mum to care for.....................

Actually - sorry, but meant to add that it is now a lovely drenching wetness out there - umbrellas definitely required.

(Oh and the really funny bit - the traffic news guy gave the info about the heavy rainfall and recommending lights, extra space etc - he broadcasts from the local authority's traffic control centre - and then the ad break had an ad from the LA about conserving water!!! :0

Its wet in Wales, been raining for at least the last 3 hours, since I got up. Though I do recollect it raining at about 2am this moring when DD needed a cwtch, so it could have been raining for a lot longer.

Garden won't mind it, but the strawberries aren't keen.

France seems to be the place to be today.

Beautiful sunshine here in the Auvergne but set to rain by Friday so, best do what the farmers do around here and "make hay whilst the sun shines"
Sorry to hear that it isn't so good where you are but, rest assured - it's comming our way soon

well it's not raining ...... YET ..... no doubt as soon as i get the lawnmower out it will start, i tried 3 times yesterday, and only got a quarter of it done, and tonight we're going to pick up a shed and a greenhouse for my chickens ....... so can guarantee it will be raining at 6.00

Now regretting not giving Ash the morning off nursery!fairly light rain on the way,now chucking it down!(nursery is just over a mile away & we have only our feet as transport!!!10min walk there, prob 30 mins to get back!!Why do children think if they keep stopping the rains gonna somehow go away?!)
Get well soonSS~given the choice of spending an hour in the rain or a day with sickly children,I'll stick with what i've got!

Going to drive to shops in a minute - not quite as heavy as this morning, but still a miserable drizzle and breeze seems to have picked up a bit

Soggy Surrey is, well, soggy! I actually managed to ride out in the sun, yesterday. Amazing!

But twas sunny in the lab this morning. I treated us to The Thompson Twins Greatest Hits and had a boogie whilst doing boffin-type stuff. One day someone will walk in and catch me in my little 80s world!
