  • All time favourite film

I love films and have favourites for different reasons.
Some films trigger emotions, define a time in your life,i.e(the first date with your OH for example).
What is your favourite film and why?

The Happiest Days of Your Life

Mostly because it's a lovely feelgood film, it makes me laugh even though I must have watched it 50 times, and anything with Alistair Sim in it gives me the same warm glow. Partly because I'm actively working towards becoming Margaret Rutherford

I love Kingdom of Heaven the directors cut, have watched it a zillion times, it has so much atmosphere, fab battle scenes, wonderful costumes and oh yes Orlando Bloom!!

            I admit I don`t have a favorite film.
They are way to many that I like.

There are many films I could watch over and over again but it has to be An Officer and A Gentleman. Reason? Just because....

I have to agree that I have many favorites depending on the mood I'm in.

If I could only take one to a Desert Island it would be the "Lord of the Rings"
                trilogy - extended versions.

Other contenders would be LA Confidential; Dances with Wolves; The Wild Bunch; Get Carter (Michael Caine); Pulp Fiction; Cinema Paradiso; Saving Private Ryan (FUBAR- LOL); Four Weddings and a Funeral; Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe; Sleepless in Seattle - I am really finding it hard to choose just one - good thread.

Highlander - despite Sean Connery playing a spaniard with a scottish accent and Christopher Lambert playing a scot with an awful french/american accent. the soundtrack by Queen is fantastic. this is one film that i will watch when its on, even if it has started or has 15 minutes to go, i still will not turn it off. brilliant. *makes plans to watch DVD at weekend.

Too many good films, (and some incredibly corny and silly, but I still like them, example Crocodile Dundee 2, one of the few sequels more fun than the original).
Flowers come in too many colours to see the world in black-and-white.
