As a shop worker who doesnt normally work wednesday's I somehow managed to get myself a shift, also daughter has a doctors appointment that I squeezed in, seeing as she isnt in school.Gardening ..... begins with daybreak
and ends with backache

Working.........however 20% of liverpools population work for the council and are on strike.........disgrace!

I am not in favour of this strike or any other for that matter.
But to any grapes who feel they must go and peacefully protest I say I hope the idiots bent on trouble stay away and that you return to the vine safely.

I unfortunately have to work tomorrow although I work for the council, I am not in the union (as I dont earn enough money) and cant afford to loose a day's pay. However I believe in what they are doing and support them.
Everyone has the right to protest.Comment

I want to strike (could do with the extra time down the lottie too! edit <- that's tongue in cheek) - but knowing where I work, despite it being said it won't count against you, it would defiantly be used as ammo against me in some form. i think that everone who voted for strike action should picket ouside there place of work. The day of action is a protest to protect pensions and should not be used as a day off, unlike those people who have had to take a day off work to look after children.Comment

Pickets are restricted to ~6 people, off our place of works property (which... is pointless really
) - but yup I agree. I can't see the people protesting all day though, from what I've heard. *shrug*.
