  • 15 minutes of fame almost knocking Carol Klein on her A**E!

Yep, thats right , yesterday i went to the NEC to see gardeners world and myself and my sister decided to check out the RHS floral marquee and who do we see being filmed....Carol Klein in person, so like everyone one else we stand to the side to give her a clear shot and then a young gentleman asks us to walk behind Carol as everyone is so busy watching her that it looked like no one was there, so i agree ( yeah famous last words) and stomp across the camera's line of vision, doing my best to be impressed with all the flowers on display and as i turn sharply to speak to my sister, Carol is right behing me and crashing into her i go!!!
Hopefully that will be edited it out!
But im still hoping to be on the show, im the one long dark hair, brown t-shirt on and a bright green jacket tied round my waist.
Life isnt about surviving the storm.....But learning to dance in the rain.

i met torvil and dean in 84 just after they got the gold, we went to see them skate in nottingham, i was 4 years old and still remember it like yesterday. mum had said we would give the flowers she bought to jane torvil, then when they skated round after the performance christpher dean came to collect them, and i threw the biggest hissy fit which included that ladies have flowers and not men and mum wanted to give them to jane this embaressed my mum no end he was great though and promised to give them to jane, i didnt know men got flowers in sport till later when i took up ballet, i still feel guilty everytime i watch dancing on ice and mums not let me forget it if i ever seem him again i will say sorry but i dought he would remember. when i got the autograpgh of my fav rock star blackie lawless from wasp all i said was thankyou i could bear to say anything else for fear this one would bite me on the ass for years to come as well.

Aaah Percy, Blackie Lawless is a good bloke, as is Ozzy Osbourne, the guys from KISS...gee I used to LOVE Donnington Monsters of Rock, used to go backstage due to a mate working on the lighting rigs. None of them are like their stage persona, most of them are quiet. Well apart from the Ozz meister.

Met a fair few people in my time, hung around Cinderford with various bands, met a few actors, met a few people from the Folk scene, know a couple of posh folk. Carol Klein lives up the road (sort of).
My old saying is..."Why when I have so many influential rich friends am I still a poor nobody?"

Starchild; I'm the biggest KISS fan; and was at the Finsbury Park 'reunion' gig about 8-9 years ago; and it was the biggest disappointment ever. They are playing tonight about 3 miles from my house and I'm not there [by choice - I can't do festivals any more].

Often wondered if the Starchild moniker was KISS related; also have the Phantom of the Park film on Video - terrible film but SO funny. Esp when Gene speaks - or tries to.

Dead jealous that you've met them; I used to know loads of people and got backstage at Reading more years than I can actually remember due to friends in the music industry; met so many people there; James from the Manics sticks out - the nicest person in the industry - absolutely lovely bloke.

Aah; those were the days; at least I am on planet earth these days which is a good place to be. Don't miss it for the world.

I saw the Kiss reunion but at Donington it was fantastic, Kiss and Ozzy on the same bill. AMAZING!!
Then I got married and had kids and festivals went on the back burner. Nearly went to see Twisted Sister last year but Twisted Sister at Butlins was just sooooo wrong. Especially in Minehead.
Alice Cooper, he's brill. Likes his golf.
            Iron Maiden...seen them.
            Meatloaf...seen him
            Dave Lee Roth...seen him

Gave up on Reading and Glastonbury when they became "trendy" and televised.

The truthe about Gene and Paul....Gene is soo cool, always up for a photo op...shame I never took a camera! Paul is very nice and chats for ages. Glad to see his health is better (he had a heart attack last year which is scary because he has always been so fit).

I have a christmas card from Sharon and Ozzy somewhere, it's one of my prized possesions, along with signed copy of Gene's book.
Has anyone seen Detroit Rock City? Brilliant film, Phantom is hilarious though, so awful I think they should release it as "how not to be a rock star and break into acting".

Oh and Tommy Thayer is on my Facebook :-)

blue, was it your fault Carol was limping last night then? Did you break her foot or something, cos she seemed to be limping, was sat down an awful lot, and I'm sure her foot appeared swollen in the final segment of GW last night (where she was sat in the dingy)! If so, you've deffo got your 5 mins of fame, poor Carol! lol!!
