I don't do running but I am sure I could do it if they offer you wine

Wineathlon 10k run will be hosted in Glasgow offering wine at rest stops | Metro News

Go, Carrie! I think you could do it. But you'd better get in training increasing your alcohol tolerance as well as your fitness!

Carrie,it is the most amazing experience, several years ago when i was several stone lighter,i did the lady's run for cancer 3 years on the trot, take a steady pace, then when i saw the finish line gave it all i had,gee wizz, what a feeling, felt so good to know what i did have inside,at the time i was just into my early 60's,so even more to be pleased with myself, but you do need to gradually start running short distance and build up your core first, never just go and try it,

Problem is that wine doesn't quench your thirst, in fact it makes you dehydrate more! It also makes you have more chance of falling over!

The above is what my sensible head says but my heart says "stop being a boring basket and "Go for it!"

PS My running days are over but I could always walk/stagger it!
