Can anyone tell me when I pick conference pears as my tree has finally decided to fruit after I theatened to cut it down last winter.

Sorry KG couldnt resist that. Pears (& apples) are normaly picked before they are ripe & then allowed to mature in a fruit store at around 40f. they should be ready to pick this monthntg
