  • We have blossom!!

Went down to the allotment for a quick paddle in the mud and to check on the greenhouse...and we've got blossom on the peach tree!! What a lovely sight. Will need to start pollinating tomorrow. One more week and the clocks change too - will really feel like spring is here then (whatever the weather) Anyone else got blossom?

Daffodils are out and have seen my first fruit blossom of the year.
The Daffs are in my garden and the blossom is on a tree being sold at Aldi where temperatures seem to suit the plants.

The peach tree is in the greenhouse though! - (unheated ) Our first daffs (tete a tete) have opened in the garden in the past couple of days too.

Our first daffs started flowering in mid February with more still coming out. The bluebells are starting to appear again too. Just waiting for the new bare root hedge to start showing some signs of life..

Cover the blossom with fleece if you get a cold snap or no fruit, you will more than likely have to pollinate by hand as there are no bees out - good luck!

My daffs and crocus are dying away at the moment. Pot of red tulips in blossom ,and victoria plum with the leaves just opening, also black current bushes with leaves opening also.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
