| Hi, I grow stawberries in a large ceramic tower/pot and had quite a lot at the start of the summer. I was out watering them yesterday when I saw that one of them has new flowers on it. Should this be happening at this time of year? Should I let it happen or pinch them out? Thanks liam |

| I have had a few on mine too. Best to pinch out, sort out runners and encourage them to settle in for the winter with a nice haircut (dead leaves). Not meaning to pinch your thread though urban gardener... I have never seen so many plants in the garden throwing off some of their spring flowers...magnolia, rhododendron to name just a couple. Our strawberries appear to be just as confused! |
