Exclamation New TV series Grow Your Own Veg!

Hi Gang,

Mr D just spotted this one for us all!

830pm BBC2 Friday January 5th 2007

Grow your own Veg

New series, Carol Klein tries to prove that anyone can grow organic vegetables at home, starting with potatoes.

Definitely got to be worth a look!

Thanks for that Mrs D. Will tune in. Probably shouldn't say this but I had spotted the info in a rival mag.

Please remind me nearer the time - I've got a terrible memory.

I've set it on the Grapevine calendar, so it will bring up a reminder on the day, same as for a Birthday, hope that will be of some use!

Very clever, didn't know you could do that but then again I don't know how to post photos and have only recently worked out how to do the quote thing.

Not sure if its something that I can do cos I have the MOM banner, or whether its something everyone can do, I'm sure LJ or Shortie will be able to enlighten us!

I've just written that in my diary, but as the ink dried I realised who Carol Klein is and that's put me right off the show - she's the worst part of gardeners world - not sure I could sit and listen to her annoying voice for longer that 5 minutes.

Oh no, not again. Look back Eskymo and you'll find a long thread about Gardeners World presenters. Personally I'm fine with Carol but have a big problem with Sarah Raven but don't mention her to Nick...............

Thanks Mrs D., I had read that the show was due out but didn't know when. Eskymo- Carol is lovely with her mad hair & cheery smile & new hips (according to a lady from Robinsons Mammoth onions who I was speaking to this year!), I just hope it's better than the series she did on 'Open Gardens' which I didn't really enjoy.

Alison & Mrs D
Setting reminders on the calendar is something everyone can do.

As for this new TV show on veg, whilst I am glad that it is CK that will be presenting it and not Sarah "The Coat" Raven, I can understand what Eskymo means about her voice, but with her practical nature, and enthusiasm for gardening in general, I feel I can forgive her that one small irritation !!

I've got a feeling that I can select mute on my TV and select subtitles instead - must look into this feature. I think it'll be worth watching though despite the presenter - It's got to be better than that programme the 'big dig' or whatever it was called - that was terrible.
