As i have just started to dig my new plot i have found an old pile of burned roots which look like cabbage stalks from the previous owner. Some are not fully burned and once i have dug these out i will burn them. Am i able to scatter the ash over my plot or is there a chance that i may be spreading discease that the roots may have contained, or will the burning kill things off. What do you lottie holders do with yours.

Once anything has been burned thoroughly it should be OK to use. I use an incinerator which turns everything to ash much better than a traditional bonfire. The heat should kill any disease.
