Offering high strength, improved light transmission, enhanced ventilation and considerable versatility, Keder Greenhouses not only provides an outstanding environment for crops to mature and grow but also improve the quality and yield.
When one of Keder’s customers moved to Ireland a few years ago they decided that their traditional glasshouse should be changed to a Keder Greenhouse. This is an extract from a recent case study outlining the background:
While living in England Linda saw a Keder Greenhouse at the Malvern Show and was impressed by its excellent features. So, when she moved to a windy area in the Republic of Ireland Linda decided to upgrade her traditional glass houses and purchased a 4m wide x 8m long Keder Greenhouse. Linda grows a wide variety of vegetables, as well as overwintering many half hardy plants. Her greenhouse is also home to her Wollemi Pine, which is classified as critically endangered (CR) on the IUCN’s Red List and is legally protected in Australia. Linda spends a large amount of time throughout the year seed sowing ready for the following season.
“What I have found, with a Keder Greenhouse, is it is so easy to manage ventilation levels, which are crucial in greenhouse management. The ability to open the door creates excellent air movement and, when it’s really warm, dropping the sides down further increases air flow within the greenhouse. This ability to have greater control flow of air, means there is far less likelihood of mould, whitefly and red spider mite developing.“ Linda clarified.
Much stronger, more durable and more reliable than other greenhouses or polytunnels, tests have shown a Keder Greenhouse provides better thermal resistance and thermal conductance than other greenhouse options. This, combined with the exceptional design features of high strength, improved light transmission, enhanced ventilation and considerable versatility, means a Keder Greenhouse not only provides an outstanding environment for crops to mature, grow but also to improve the quality and yield.
