    Blowin a hooley - again !

Still no cover on my tunnel - and not likely to happen before the middle of next week if the forecast is to be believed. It was somewhat breezy up here today - at one point I thought I was gonna lose my store as well as my tunnel !!
Anyway, the tunnel is all set for when the weather breaks, base rails raised, trenches dug, bolts tightened, doors removed etc etc.
Last Saturday at the Farmers Market - as I said, I had been forewarned that someone mmight make an issue of me selling some produce that wasn't grown by me - well, they did, but were told (but not by me)that I brought a lot of customers to the market, promoted it through my box scheme, farm gate sales etc etc and that there wasn't a problem. There is no one else at the market who grows and sells veg commercially - the complainant sells veg but only from his garden and his sole contribution on Saturday was ten heads of Kale - and I didn't have any so I wasn't stealing customers from him anyway. Anyway, the sun shone, the market, although not busy was steady and I did a good bit of business, and picked up two definite new box customers and several potential future customers.
Have cleared all the veggies from my field in preparation for the pig slurry - the application of which has now been delayed twice (reasons outwith my control) but which is now planned for Tuesday.
Also I think I might have got a lead on the whereabouts of an old Ferguson potato planter (the one with the bell) - fingers crossed because it takes forever to plant and earth up 200kg of seed tatties by hand.
Made up my boxes this afternoon - contents this week of tatties, carrots, onions and then selection from the following - cabbage, cauliflower, swede, parsnip, leeks / baby leeks, celeriac, pak choi.
Not so many boxes this week - people all seem to be off on holidays !!
