Happy happy happy

Due to too much work and no play hadn't been up the plot for nearly three weeks! shameful. Managed to get son and heir to come up with me a feat in itself.
Dug over two more raised beds for me, bless him.
I looked under the fleece to have a look at my spuds and they were all up, lots of lovely leaves poking up, so earthed them up again. It was like finding buried treasure.
I then weeded around my shallots and onions, the shallots are doing really well and my giant garlic is sprouting too.
Put in some shop bought broad beans as have tried three times in different ways to grow them myself and failed due to a mixture of pests and over watering by son and heir!
Have got lots to get in the green house today started off and lots to plant out on the plot when we have dug some other beds over.
Lovely weather up there today not too hot or cold. Old fella in plot next door was digging up his strawberry bed as cannot weed it anymore and gave them to son and heir so we now have about 40 lovely strawberry plants in a bed too. Does life get any sweeter? (Sunshine, honest graft, kindness of a stranger and sharing time with your teenager who is enjoying himself and happy to be with you.) I think not.
