Back to it after a long winter.

Hi all. Finally got myself down to the allotment last week and at the week end. Been hard at it digging and weeding. Council have brought loads of wood chip down for paths so it was wheel borrows at the ready. They have also sent us letters for rent,no increase for the year like they said they were goings to.it stands at nearly £24.00 for the year. Which is great as they said it would go up by 10 pound a year till it hit £50 pound. Then go up no more afterwards.maybe all the talk about allotment increases not being far has turned it around. This weekend we did two new raised beds and pathways with wood chip round them. I've also put in some onion set as well. My neighbour also give me 2 gooseberry plants which I've now planted,along my boundary. Lets hope they take. All in all things are looking good for the start of the season.
