A very productive day.
Went up to Lottie#1 and...
Potted up more squash - Turks Turban and Patty Pan
Sowed Minette Basil, Greek Oregano and Chives - freebies from Magazine. Already have loads of chives, but plan to pot them up in empty Apple cans from work and use them as a moveable Carrot Fly deterrant.
Pricked out Summer PSB into modules.
Moved infant tomatoes and Gerkins to cold frame having blocked up the gaps around the lid with bubble wrap. Had to move 'em on, space was getting too tight in GH.
Potted on coriander
Tidied Green house. - How DOES it get so messy?
Tidied Shed. Had to. Couldn't get in for bubble wrap and cardboard boxes. P would have had forty fits if he'd seen it! All nice and "Sleeping With the Enemy" now!
Planted out Sugar Snap peas - Deliket. Second row. Protected them from slugs with plastic bottle cloches.
Picked some Oriental Salad Leaves for us and left a bag of it for the "new owners" too.
Bizarre weather. One minute blazing sunshine, next heavy downpours of huge hailstones! Typical Easter weather.
Sowed French Marigolds and Sunflowers -Velvet Queen. Five foot high, multi headed red ones. Sold well at the booty last year. Might have a go again this year. Will also save some for personal planting.
Rescued a frog from the clod frame. Gave him a refreshing swim in a bucket of rainwater and set him free on the "Wildlife Bank".
Said hello to the UGLIEST cat I've ever seen. Truely a face only a mother could love. Had a wierd "flash" in one eye. Explained to it that even though I might be chuggling it under the chin now, if it craps on my veg beds, I shall still punt it's furry little backside up the garden. It didn't seem phased by my words - just did a couple of lazy head over heels and wandered off.
Would dearly like this weather to settle down so that I can get some serious digging done up at lottie #2.
