Diary of a Lottie

April at last and the wind has died down and the sun has shone most of the day.
Big stuff in that I went and paid my landlady the years rent for The Field. I now feel that I can get going properly on it. Will try and get up there at the weekend - weather permitting of course.Spent the day in the garden with P after a brief visit up to Lottie #1 to check on the babies.
All well, but I took the extra protection off them as it was actually making them sweat. Everyone got a little drink and a chuggle under the seed leaves for encouragement.
Back home, P has topped off the telephone pole edging to the new lawn with board so you can sit on it if you want to and I will have a nice straight edge to mow up to. The grass is making it's presence felt - there is a green haze all over the area.Took a load of shrubs and plants over the road and left them on the flower beds for transplanting.
Broke up the old GP hutches as they were falling apart anyway. May have a bonfire when it gets dark.
Last job of the day was giving Mum's grass it's first cut after the winter. Would have raked it as well but the heavens opened and it'll now have to wait till a dryer time.
Hey, ho! All in all, a good, productive day.
