  • Where are all the ladybirds?!

Is it just me? I haven't yet seen one single ladybird! I remember in previous years having swarms of them around this time of year! Anybody got any?

I would just like to announce to all the ladybirds of birmingham that I have plently of flies and a house for them when they would like to visit!

Plenty of ladybirds and their larvae on my plot and garden...they were all over the parsnips that are being left to go to seed yesterday.

No fair! I want some! I think I may start taking a tub to the park with me and collecting any I find to bring home! Ahhh, that brings back memories of being at my nan's when I was little and running round her garden trying to catch them to put in a jam jar only to then release them again!

We have loads of adults but I haven't seen any babies. Guess they must be around somewhere.

I've seen 2 yellow ladybirds and 1 2-spot ladybird so far this year, and that's all been within the last few days.

I saw one in very early spring but none since. I can only hope that there isn't enough for them to eat chez moi.

I've only seen 2 so far this year & that was a while ago & I only saw one the whole of last summer! It's strange as there are people in other parts of the country who are swamped with them & we do usually have quite a few, maybe it's the last two very cold winters we've had here which has killed some off.

We had a load a few weeks ago , but they've now done a disappearing act. There was one pair mating on the goosgog bush while we were picking caterpillers off and half an hour later they were still there
