Default Unusual Dragonfly Spotted!

I have just seen a beauty in my garden. Sadly was unable to get photo as it was moving to twigs too high for me to use my son's phonecam on.

I did eventually find this link which is very similar to what I saw

I think you'll agree it is a stunning insect - mine just having a little more black around its edges and looking a little like a giant wasp in its livery. Much more colourful that the standard ones we get in our garden at this time of year.

Has anyone else spotted any like this before - or perhaps can give me more info such as its name?

I think it may be a female Broad bodied chaser

The males have blue bodies.
