OH thought he saw one last week- but wasn't sure!...if you have just seen one, then maybe we have the odd one or two already!
      Is it early for them???

Not seen any yet, but good news if they've started to cross. They are the harbingers of spring!

The first one arrived here today. Does that make it summer?

Aristotle (384 BCE - 322 BCE): "One swallow does not a summer make, nor one fine day; similarly one day or brief time of happiness does not make a person entirely happy."

We were watching a few flying around and nattering to each other a couple of days ago.....and then the weather turned cold and wet!

There's been the odd one or two reported here in Northumberland but I haven't seen any yet.

I did hear my first Willow Warbler in the sycamore behind our house on Tuesday 14th and, later that same day, saw my first Sandwich Terns and Sand Martin at Boulmer beach Slowly but surely summer is creeping onwards

I am hoping to see one soon.

I heard my first cuckoo two days ago, another sure sign of spring.
