| I saw a letter in the new RSPB magazine (with picture) from a man who found a Sparrowhawk in his greenhouse. It was beautiful, I'm so envious! Apparently all was well, no panic and he managed to set it free. Sue |

| I feed the birds quite a lot in my garden and regularly have a sparrowhawk, young male, sat on the feeders, waiting for lunch to turn up. beautiful bird, and so fast when it sets off on a chase its\wonderful to see Darren |

| We occasionally see a sparrowhawk - I've never seen it take a bird but we've twice found piles of pigeon feathers. So far, I'm inclined to favour the sparrowhawk!

| I was inside the greenhouse last summer when a squirrel came hurtling in. It was being chased at top speed by another squirrel. It was absolutely bonkers, as you can imagine - throwing itself around against the glass. I managed to get out and stepped away, leaving it to figure out what to do. It took about 15 minutes to find its way out of the roof vent. By some miracle the cucumbers and tomatoes remained intact. It sounds lucky that the hawk managed to get out unhurt - they get really stressed in a closed environment. |
