I've no idea what any of them are, but I love the fourth one down. Must of got up quite early to snap those Manda, the frost had melted by the time I'd got to work (7:45).

Lol! I was 'lucky' our neighbours fence casts a shadow along its length, so even at 09:00 it was still hard frost!
The lupins were the flowers that I noticed first from the upstairs window. ![]() ![]()

Ooh, lupins look like they'd be ideal for my new flower bed/border that I'll be creating once the weather dries out a bit.
Thanks Manda.

Fantastic photos!!
I love lupins but the slugs eat even mature plants in the garden ![]() I was hunting for some red lupins to take abroad and yesterday spotted some in B&Q 5 for £5 ( or a choice of other cottage flowers). Good quality too! ![]() |

I love lupin leaves but not the flowers [deffo too blousy for a punk like me]
I keep asking the OH to get some, as long as we chop the flower stalks off but he won't have it...

Great pics SBP. Thanks for posting them. And I'll vote for the lupins. I'll always have a few. I love the scent of them. And if anybody's interested in growing them they're very easy from seed.

You could try going for just one colour, I don't like mixed varieties - have the same problem with gladioli but just one colour - that looks very tasteful! I've gone for blue ones as this is my favourite flower colour. Sue |
