| Fascinating indeed. My younger son (12) adores snapdragons as he loved watching the bees on them when he was tiny. They are about the only flowers he can recognise though - and he knows how to open them by gently squeezing the 'jaws' too. |

| I love to see 'my girls' come into the hive absolutely covered in pollen, little fluffy yellow balls of mischief! Some bee keepers collect the pollen in 'pollen traps' Pollen is as vital to the bees as nectar, They store small amounts of it in the hive. In each grain of pollen there can be up to 5 million pollen spores!!!! WOW!! |
