Default what's at mi potatos

What could be attacking my tatties?What ever it is is scrating down the stems but not eating or pecking at the tatties they scrat out .
It is not cat's .
any help please

Scrat? Is that digging? Are they being dug out of the ground? Could be two-legged rats?

I have had squirrels digging up my tatos before now, when they get them up, they are disappointed they are only tatos and bugger off leaving them on the surface to go green.

Could be wabbits - they did the same to mine last year - dug the tubers out but then found out they were spuds and left them
