  • Weird "stuff" on my pear tree.

I have no idea what this is, the photo shows three stages of whatever it is. The leaves that got this took about ten days to go from looking ok to the stage with the "stuff" on them.

Does anyone know what it is and what I should do to stop it coming back as I'm sure it's not healthy?

    Graham.

Spot on people, many thanks. I'm off up the garden centre to get some myclobuta-something or other.

I keep rust under control on my pear "bushes" by removing the affected leaves when I see them.
The rust therefore doesn't get the chance to mature and release it's spores, so I don't need to spray.
