Default organic slug pellets

Has anyone tried the advanced organic slug pellets which are on sale now? they have them for sale online at the organic gardening catalogue, expensive but still cheeper than the nemaslug

Hi Serenity,

I haven't tried them (i assume you mean the ferrous phosphate ones), but i have customers (commercial growers) who do use them and they seem happy enough (although they complain about the cost too! ). Just remember that they will do a good job at controlling slugs that come to the surface, but there are many many many more underground - and these are the one's that can do the most damage to root crops (potatoes, carrots, parsnips etc etc).

I've used them when I've absolutely had to, seemed to work OK, still some damage but at least I had plants, without them I get no plants at all....
