Default Oats

anyone know if oats keep slugs away, or is someone down the allotment haveing me on?

I've not tried it myself but I have heard that too - apparantly the slugs eat the oats/ bran and then get so dehydrated that they die - nice eh!!

sounds nasty, and not as tasty as my cabbage.

I bet it works out cheaper than slug pellets

I have hear of it, have to replace after the rain, - but then you have to with other methods. As vicki says makes them dehdrate, nasty way to go but.......... Are you going to try PP? if you do please let us know how you get on.
