I know, I just heard and I thought it was finally Spring. Still, it shouldn't last long at this time of the year - SHOULD IT???

the bbc forecast rain last sunday - we had a bright sunny day all day
i checked the bbc website yesterday - forecast was for cloudy today - yet we have clear blue skies and bright sunshine at the moment - no idea if it's going to cloud over later, but i'm taking the dog for nice walkies in a mo
and not going to spend too much time worrying what the bbc says about the weather - just enjoy the sun while it shines

That'll be the sowing put off for another weekend then

I use a site called Accu Weather (check for the UK not the USA site!) which gives hour by hour forecasts if you want to try to be that accurate. It does tend to be close enough to the truth for me ...

I can't believe it! Sleet and snow is forecast for this area at the weekend, and with my time newly restricted, I'm having serious problems getting my head around the idea that a washout weekend actually means a whole lost week.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

I was just about to start sowing as well (noooooo I haven't done any yet, still too early for this far north!). We've got sleety showers for tomorrow and snow on low levels on Sunday.

This time last year I planted my tomatoes in their large pots in the greenhouse. I was hoping to do them this weekend, but I think they'll stay put in the small pots so I can still bring them inside away from the frost. I opened the vents on the greenhouse this morning, but left the door closed. It got up to 40 degrees, and burnt off most of the busy lizzie seedlings!
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
