Hello Cheshire, the overnight temperature forecasts are all over the place at the moment. I check 3 sites and there's no consistency. I'm just hoping the doom and gloom merchants have it all wrong as there's nothing I can do about some of my stuff. I should think in London you'll have no worries.

I had a look too and through travelling a lot the one that is usually the most accurate is accuweather. We use that a lot as my friend surfs and texts me to check online for him when he's off up the coast.

You should be fine in London, Cheshire61. Cities tend to generate their own heat and are usually warmer than surrounding countryside. I haven't actually seen frost forecast, but I do live on the East Coast of England and usually only check the local forecast - this is for rain, rain and more rain at the moment. Typical Bank Holiday weather.

If its only a single nights frost, newspaper is a cheap and quick way of covering your plants!

It's if it's windy and frosty at the same time that you have problems!

-2 in North West Leicestershire last night. I had to scrape the ice of the works pickup after snap last night.
