  • yellow tomato plants

I am having an issue with a couple of my tomato plants. The leaves at the base of the plants have turned yellow. Not sure what is causing this - can anyone help?

the bottom ones often go yellow as they are old leaves, as long as the newer growth is green and healthy just break them off

Well, now you mention it - you MIGHT have over-watered them! A little seeweed concentrate in the water won't hurt - and lay off the can - if you think you might be over-watering it's possible you are.

I normally take the lower leaves off anyway to stop water splashes onto the leaves, otherwise they can harbour disease nasties.

Are they in their final pots yet? If not, they might be running out of nutrients? They will automatically divert to the new growth, and drop the bottom leaves if they are running short.
