Default worse march than last year?

I only got my plot in november 06, but I seem to remember planting heaps of things in my greenhouse in early march 07 and them shooting up. There was lots of sun and everything was thriving. Seems that this year it's much greyer and things aren't doing half so well.

I'm considering waitimg afew more weeks before planting anything else when it's a bit sunnier. all i've got in the ground are onions and shallots.

Last year it was particularly warm during March and April, we didn't have a frost from Feb onwards which is ridiculous. This year the weather is more normal, although I'm not sure I know what this is yet!

This time last year I was nursing sunburn!! caused by digging a fruit bush bed with a vest on as it was so warm. No danger of that this year!

As the weather has been so crap, I decided to wait a couple of weeks later to start stuff off this year.

It'll have to go some to get through the layers I've been wearing lately!

Our water butts were empty by this time last year, the standpipes on our lotties don't go on until the beginning of April, and everything needed watering in as it was so dry - this year there would be no need for additional water, but the ground is unworkable and it's far too cold to plant out anyway.
