Default Winter planting for containers

Any suggestions of what to plant in containers for a winter crop? My space does not get much sun, and it's rather exposed and windy. I have four window boxes, two 30L pots, and two hanging baskets.

There are lots of winter salad veg - hardy lettuces and that sort of thing. You could probably get away with american land cress (reminds me, I need to sow some more!), possibly some parsley, coriander, chives, spring onions.
Just about time to sow some carrots for winter eating.
Not sure if you could grow kale in a container, but maybe worth a try.

Possibly worth investing in a cloche?

Good luck!
