Default Winter Onions Ready???

Hi All

Just want to confirm my thinking......

Some of my onions sowed in the Autumn the stalks have now keeled over - does that mean we're ready to harvest?

They've swelled well in the past few weeks, and look a good size (pushing out of the ground)....

Thanks!!!

Wait till the tops start to go brown before you harvest them. When you harvest finish ripening them in the sun if possible.

Yep..........agree with gojiberry, a few of mine bolted but the majority have bulbed up and are keeling over now.
Use them from now on in the kitchen and store your spring sown onions!
