Has anyone had a pheasant in their greenhouse? and what was it looking for? Husband scared it out, but not before knocking over basil plants and peppers.. Only got tomatoes in there..Have hung a sack over the doorway now..

Hello Julie, I haven't had the pheasant in the greenhouse - but the blackbirds are daft enough to go in. The Pheasant wasn't looking for anything. They're quite brainless creatures who don't even have the sense to get out of the way of cars when you're trying to drive round them. But they are pretty. And they taste good !

Hi Alice..this one lives in the field behind our neighbours and whilst the dog and I were out, sauntered in there! I hear him squawking in the day.. maybe he has a mate and young up there..wondered if he was looking for food?
I wouldn't do him any harm though, although I've eaten a few in my time.. donated by people I work for!
