Sowed a row direct today and will put some in modules in about a week.... Also trying some shallots (Prisma F1) next to them.... maybe I can get proper bunch shallotsfrom seed in one season... if not I've got more that can go in next spring.

I sowed mine a few weeks ago and they're about the same as you'rs, the packet says to space them in rows 15" apart and 3" between plants.

Planting in modules when I get the time - should have been last weekend but is looking more like next now!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Oh, useful thread - I was wondering if I could sow mine in modules instead of direct as it says on pack. Looks like I can.

couldnt find any seeds when i was in the GC today, but I did buy some sets. Is it too early to plant them now? And should I put directly in the soil or will they benefit from being put in modules in the GH and planted out in the Spring?

                              Thanks
