When do I use this manure and when don't I?

I've never bought it either and it's not often I grow in pots. Potty's your man!
Though I'd probably just use it to top dress the pots if it was me...

Aw, thank you.

I was really just after a general manure & plant & pot type advice rather than specifically about this product. I only listed it in case people asked me what type of manure I was using. I didn't realise it might read as if I was asking about that product in particular although now that I re-read, I do say the word 'this' in the title and it does read like that.

My brain must have been in a different gear from my fingers when I wrote that.

As far as I'm aware it's only carrots and parsnips that don't benefit from manure.
I would mix it in rather than layers.
