    What up with my aubergine??

    Hi All

    Any idea whats going on with my aubergine? pic attached. Its got plenty flowers but over the last week or so it has got progressively more sickly looking. The leaves have are going all yellow and dropping off. The other two plants in the same pot and the ones in the pot next door all look OK (apart from some serious nibbling to the leaves that something has done!!)

    Should say they are being fed on a weekly basis with tomato feed now the flowers are appearing!

    It's ****** [a word I can't use on here].

    I hope it's not vine weevils or something, you might have to dig it up and see; I'd suggest serious leaf removal work but the stem looks brown so I don't think it is really gonna survive.

        I didn't want to think vine weevils...and would be very annoyed since the majority of the pots (not this one though as they were only planted out a month or so ago) were nematoded in spring. but I'll pull it up toniught and inspect the roots and then do the necessary. It was the one with most flowers on as well

          I think your roots have rotted. As Zaz said, I don't think there's much hope for it. Have you been overwatering?

            There's new leaf growth on it though...where are you keeping it? Looks like its been a combination of too dry & then too wet?

              It could be overwatering. i tried those drinks bottle spikes for the first time this year and I'm really not getting on very well with them. Some days they empty the whole bottle in a day and other days the compst is on the dry side. Will get rid of it and try to moderate the watering a bit better....!

                    I have the same holes in the leaves. I found earwigs.

                        my aubergine seems to have come to a stand still. it looks healthy enough but just has stopped growing, no flowers yet!
