    What seeds are these?

    In the parcel with some roses was a free gift of a packet of seeds.

    Sadly there was no label on the packet and nothing on the invoice So what do you reckon they may be?



    They are broadly oval with flattened sides, browny black.

      In a word (or two words) noidea. Could you phone the supplier of the roses and ask?

                They look to me like seed that has come out of a pea-type pod, like broom, or laburnam, or sorghum



                But on the other hand, I just opened my packet of basil and they look the same, so I'll go with Zaz's verdict. (She's usually right anyway )

                        Maybe they gave you some Rosa Regusa or other Rosa seeds in case your rose bush died.............

                          definitely look like seeds
                          bung em in and see

                            No white patches, not round like peas, a bit more oval than broom.

                            I'll bung em in - some inside and some out - and when/if something emerges we can play again...

                              My money is on Basil too, I have just checked some of my seeds and they are very similar.
