One of 2 tumbling toms growing in the conservatory got some yellow mottling leaves on one side. Does anyone know what is it?

Thanks. I uploaded 2 photoes, hopefully it is clear. It is like there are loads of tiny yellow marks on the leaves. Does anyone know what is the problem? thanks.Comment

It's not a massive problem, sometimes older leaves do this anyway.
I would have a think about your fertiliser treatment and see if it needs a bit more. Or less, depending on what you are feeding it.

Don't think they're being eaten, but check the underside of the leaves for aphids. They look very soft and tender - I tend to grow mine a bit harder.Comment

Reply to Heated mat for Tom's and chilliesI use a mix of six scoops of compost three scoops of sand/grit and two scoops of perlite,the quantity is unimportant as long as the ratio is the same, if for seeds I use this mix, if I am potting on I add some blood, fish and bone, along with a small quantity of chicken manure pellets
