Squashes, pumpkins and courgettes like rich soil as they are hungry feeders - although it may be a little late for them - most people are picking courgettes ans summer squashes now (I'm not one of them). Winter squashes and pumpkins need long hot summer for skins to 'cure' so they can be stored throughout winter.

I would suggest oriental greens and spinach - if it doesn't get too hot again, they bolt in hot weather.

      Happy Growing!
