Harvested my first early Maris Peers today, which I started under glass and grew in a potato bag. Seems a waste not to use the rest of the bag over the summer so what can people recommend that grows well in a potato bag, preferably outside as greenhouse quite full already?

I would have thought that carrots would work well -
Salad crops, a courgette or cucumber. Courgette might need a bit of watering. Tomato plant?Comment

Depends what size your bags are really, after I have harvested my main crop from the dustbins I will have either curly kale or PSB to follow into the new year.Potty by name Potty by nature.

Thanks guys - the long and the short seems to be ...... most things!! I think I will choose something fairly tall, as the bag sides tend to fold in and anything tiny would be very dark. I might use a tomato outdoors if I have any left over, then maybe something new over winter that doesn't fit in to my crop rotation .... like curly kale or chard.Comment
