Do you have any tomato plants? If so you can take the sideshoots and grow them on into new plants! Ask Binley ^^^^ she's an expert at it

I've got two in a milk bottle not sure where they can live when the time comes because I've run out of space.

I have 4 plants going strong but got 3 for 50p each in Dobbies the other day. I never seeded any this year but I'm hoping the smaller ones will still fruit a bit, one of them is starting to produce flowers :-)

I dont know really, they were only about 3 inches and there just dried out, I had been spraying them with miracle grow so not sure whats went on. This was my first time growing them, maybe to much sun as it gets unbelievably hot! you cant walk on the patio bare foot! might have to put the next ones in the shade

When plants are that small they are very susceptible to extremes, be it over/under watering, heat or cold. Good lesson learnt for the next lot.

Um, why were you spraying with miracle grow?

There's no need to spray them, you water from below by putting them in a saucer or container and adding water until they don't take up any more water.
You only feed them when the fruit has set on them [which means you can see the fruits forming]

Thats probably why I have the thing on my hose and just spray my flowers and veg all at the same time, didn't think they would be any different x

Jen, you really don't need to be using a hose with Miraclegro diluter for every watering. I presume your tomatoes were in pots? They would have been much better watered with a small watering can.
