    should overwintering peas that are sown in guttering be watered. ive sown some today but i havnt watered them as i dont want them to rot

    well ... all plants need water to grow. Or they won't.

    but then, you're right that you don't want to rot them.

      Water with a bit of Cheshunt Compound or a similar fungiscide added should be ok. They'll only rot if the germination temperature aint high enough, so in a greenhouse this time of year you should be ok..........at least for a week or two!
      I may be wrong, but aren't some peas treated with a fungiscide anyway?
