i have a few tomatoe plants giving off fruit where the top is dark green, just like BER, but upside down, It may just be the type of tomatoe (I don't know the variety), but I just wondered if it was anything to worry about.

A lot of tomatoes are like that. Blossom end rot is black and brown and crispy looking, nothing like this. If they are green at the top when the rest is ripe it's called Greenback. Some older varieties often show this. I wouldn't start to worry till they ripen up (at which point it's likely to disappear).Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

It's not blossom end rot. As Flum said, that is sort of dark brown/black and is at the bottom of the tomato. Which variety are you growing.Comment

I know its not blossom end rot as its not on the blossom end, that was an atempt at humour (which obviously failed miserably) But I had never seen this beforeComment

Definitely not sungold or sweet millions and looking at the shape I would have a guess at Thai Pink Egg. They do look fabulous and certainly nothing to worry about at the moment.
